Make a difference to stop deforestation and save the rainforests!

Urgent Action Alert from Vivienne Westwood

Make a difference to stop deforestation and

SAVE THE RAINFORESTS!!!

I've taken action to stop climate change - will you?
Rainforest destruction is the burning issue of our time. Emergency action is needed to prevent run-away climate change. The Prince's Rainforests Project is in the final weeks of its Rainforest SOS Campaign -- the last push to ensure that the call for emergency action to protect rainforests is heard by those who have the power to make change happen.

We want to send the biggest SOS to world leaders before the forthcoming global climate change negotiations in Copenhagen in December.

Only if we take action to stop tropical rainforest destruction can we tackle climate change before it is too late.

Do you need more convincing?

Not convinced of the problem or the urgency? The PRP has just released a new online, interactive booklet that describes how rainforests are in the front line in the fight against climate change and explains how a new form of international collaboration could help to reduce tropical deforestation, with many benefits for developed and developing countries.

The book, which features beautiful photographs by Daniel Beltrá and a forward by HRH The Prince of Wales, also includes eyewitness stories from internationally-recognised figures who have already endorsed the PRP proposals, including Sir David Attenborough, Chief Almir of the Suruí tribe and Jared Diamond.

Click here to experience The Burning Issue
and please pass it along to anyone you know who hasn't signed up yet. If reading this book doesn't convince them that urgent action is required, then nothing will.

Subject: Thank you for supporting The Prince's Rainforests Project

Hello Friend,

Thank You for Sending Your Rainforest SOS. Your message will help create a climate for change.

On behalf of the rainforests, we want to send the biggest SOS to world leaders before the forthcoming global climate change negotiations in Copenhagen. Only if we take action to stop tropical rainforest destruction can we tackle climate change before it is too late.

We'll be in contact throughout the remainder of the year with information about the rainforests, the Project, and details about how you can help our campaign, but there are four things you can do right now:

1. Speak out to your friends:
www.rainforestsos.org/page/invite/friends

2. Create your own frog message: http://frog.rainforestsos.org/

3. Unite with us on your social network: www.rainforestsos.org/pages/prp-social-networks/

4. Learn about us and the rainforest: www.rainforestsos.org/pages/learn/

Thanks again for your support - together we'll build a global community of people who are calling for urgent action to tackle climate change by addressing rainforest destruction, and ensure that call is heard before December's climate change talks in Copenhagen.

Best wishes,

Briony Mathieson
Head of Communications
The Prince's Rainforests Project
